Rock Around the Clock

Rain didn’t dampen the mood of Rock the Garden, 89.3 the Current, and Walker Art Center’s annual outdoor concert

Event: The Walker Art Center and 89.3 The Current’s annual Rock the Garden was held Saturday, June 15, at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

Line-up: Electronic musician Dan Deacon kicked off the event, followed by Duluth-based indie rockers Low, Bob Mould, and Silversun Pickups. Metric closed out the seven-hour event.

Food & Drink: Summit Brewing Company, Butcher and the Boar, and other local favorites provided the sustenance that kept attendees rocking all evening long. Tap Minneapolis hydrated the crowd with on-site water-bottle filling stations.

Relocation: Due to rain, festival-goers were ushered into an underground parking lot to see the first act—not dampening the mood in the slightest.
