Summit Backyard Bash

Published:

This Saturday, Summit Brewing Company brings together everything tastefully Minnesotan for a Backyard Bash running all day long (noon-8 p.m.).

Rain or shine, Summit Brewing will be ringing in their 27th year with live Minnesota music including Secret Stash Soul Revue, Haley Bonar, The New Standards, Lizzo featuring Lazerbeak, Night Moves, and Charlie Parr & Friends.

While soaking in the jams, a variety of Summit brews will be yours for the sipping, sampling, gulping or guzzling. Eats will be provided by World Street Kitchen, Bennett’s Chop and Railhouse, Barrio, Pizza Lucé, Blue Plate, Black Forest Inn and 4 Reasons Kettle Korn—all natural pairs to the freshly brewed Summit sips.

Summit makes it easy for you to enjoy as many brews as you choose by partnering with the Drink Drive Intelligently service, which will pick you up and drop you home in your own car. Book in advance and get $10 off (612-338-1425). There will also be free shuttles from neighboring St. Paul ‘hoods:

  • O'Gara's & Tiffany's: picks up on the hour 1-4 p.m.; departs 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. & 8 p.m.
  • Bennett's: picks up at 1 & 2 p.m.; departs 7 p.m. & 8 p.m.
  • Shamrocks: picks up every hour 12:30-4:30 p.m.; departs 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m. & 8:30 p.m.

So there you have it, every reason to head to the back of the brewery this Saturday. But if you need just one more nudge, keep in mind that 50 percent of ticket sales go directly to the Minnesota Music Coalition, a nonprofit service organization dedicated to supporting Minnesota’s independent music community.
