Let's Hear it for the Girls!: Win A Free Girlfriend Getaway to Bluefin Bay

Published:

I love any excuse to get together with my girlfriends (when I say girlfriends, I mean friends and family members), especially now that we’re older and many of us have kids of our own. I’m happy to be invited to (or organize) baby showers, bachelorette parties, dinners, happy hours, and girls’ nights out. And while all of these events are fun in their own way—whether celebrating new life, a marriage, a birthday, a promotion, a new job, or maybe just the fact that the drinks are half-price and you survived a crazy week—nothing can compare to a girlfriend getaway, when you and your best friends have an entire glorious weekend stretching ahead of you, no boys (sorry, boys!), no deadlines, no meetings, no interruptions, no hurrying, no making meals/cleaning the house/doing laundry, and simply forgetting about whatever troubles have been weighing heavy on your mind. Your most pressing responsibilities will include staying up late and sleeping in, eating good food, drinking good wine, laughing extra hard, and making some pretty great memories with cherished friends.

Minnesota Monthly is partnering with Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior to actually GIVE AWAY a trip to you and your “best girls” from Nov. 14-16, 2014. All you have to do is explain why you deserve a Girls Gone North getaway on either Facebook or Twitter, using #GirlsGoneNorth2014. Be sure to tag Bluefin Bay on Facebook @Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts or @Bluefin_Bay on Twitter. (One entry per platform, winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.) The contest runs from now through October 3. For more contest details, visit bluefinbay.com/ggn.

Girls’ Gone North weekend events include experiencing the beauty of the North Shore and Lake Superior, yoga, spa treatments, happy hours, entertainment, and maybe most importantly—nothing but time to catch up. So what are you waiting for? You deserve this.
