Just about everyone could use some ideas to spice up their weekend plans, especially if you love to be adventurous and try new things. Satisfy your inner-child by seeking out these hip venues featuring all kinds of activities, including rock climbing, bowling, mini golf, arcade games, and more.

Punch Bowl Social

It is almost overwhelming how many activities you can take part in at Punch Bowl Social. This venue, located in St. Louis Park, offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks, which includes craft alcoholic beverages, plus coffee and specialty sodas and juices. Punch Bowl offers more than just food and drink, you can bowl, do karaoke, play foosball, compete in giant scrabble, and much more. Make sure to call ahead, this place fills up crazy quick.

Trapped Puzzle Rooms

Escape rooms are one of the fastest-growing forms of entertainment in the U.S., and there is no shortage of them in the Twin Cities. Trapped Puzzle Rooms is unlike most escape rooms one might be familiar with and it is all due to their awesome themes. With locations in Uptown, St. Paul, and the North Loop, Trapped contains five themed puzzle rooms and one 90-minute three-story puzzle house, the first in the Midwest. Several of their rooms are inspired by stories that have captivated children and adults alike, including Harry Potter, the Marvel Universe, and Toy Story.

Can Can Wonderland

Want to support the Minneapolis-St. Paul artist community while mini golfing? Then Can Can Wonderland is the place for you. Located in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood, has artist-inspired and designed mini golf, live music and entertainment, and an arcade filled with vintage games. And the cherry on top—Can Can is the first arts-based public benefit corporation in Minnesota. After playing a round, munch on delicious food including Duck, Duck, Grey Duck pizza, gourmet hot dogs, mini donuts, nachos, cotton candy, and signature cocktails.

Zero Gravity Trampoline Park

This activity may appear to be more for kids than inspired by them, but Zero Gravity Trampoline Park in Mounds View actually provides for all ages. And unlike some trampoline parks, Zero Gravity has more than just trampolines. The park features laser tag, an arcade, a climbing wall, an aerial ninja obstacle course, and more. Don’t worry about finding room to jump with your friends as Zero Gravity features 11,000 square feet of trampoline jumping surfaces, including a basketball slam dunk zone and a foam pit.

Up-Down is a great place to go with friends when you are looking for a more mellow bar atmosphere, plus the nostalgia doesn't hurt either. This arcade bar is located in the heart of the Lyn-Lake district and features more than 50 arcade games from the 80s and 90s, pinball machines, four classic skee-ball alleys, Nintendo 64 console gaming, life-size jenga, and connect four. The games only cost 25 cents and the drink menu contains an extensive craft beer selection including over 60 beers on tap and even more bottles and cans, as well as house-made pizza sold by the slice.
