The holiday season is in full-tilt boogie mode, and now is the time to get out there and cram in all the fun with friends and family before this dumpster fire of a year ends. Trash the headlines and go experience toast-making memories at these gorgeous restaurants before the year ends.

Sweater Weather at Bardo: This drink is everything wonderful about the holiday season. The stunning 1930s-era design sets the mood, and this glass is filled with all the good stuff: rye to drown your sorrows, a touch of mulling spiced syrup to warm your soul, and frothy egg whites atop which to sail into 2018. Cured Salmon Tartine at The Salty Tart Saint Paul: Indulge in a weekday brunch that bleeds into lunch hours with pastries and a heavenly salmon tartine at the serene new location of The Salty Tart. Each bite is silky, salty, tangy, and chewy—of cured salmon on freshly baked rye bread. I could write sonnets about that tangy, crusty, plush bread alone, but that would take too long. Just trust: This is a jewel of a breakfast sandwich, topped with radish, dill, pickled shallots, and cucumbers. Learn more.

Potato Churros at Martina: Daniel del Prado’s new Linden Hills restaurant just added a brunch menu, and on it are the so-genius-why-didn’t-we-think-of-that potato churros. There’s nothing this light and lovely space doesn’t do well, from the cocktails to the service to the wine to the food, but this dish in particular is genius. A word to the wise: They offer pastries from neighboring Rose Street. Learn more.
