Star Spangled Punch is an easy Smirnoff-based recipe for your July 4th festivities.

Excited for the upcoming holiday weekend? We are too. It doesn’t get much better than the Fourth of July in Minnesota. Whether you spend the day boating on the glorious Lake Minnetonka or grilling in the backyard with family and friends, the forecast is sunny skies, and Saturday will be ideal for a proper Independence Day celebration. While an ice-cold beer is certainly patriotic, if you are looking to class-up your holiday gathering, what better way than mixing up some America-inspired cocktails?

From punches to a #Merica themed variation of a Moscow mule, here are some crafty cocktails—with equally crafty names—that Smirnoff has whipped up in honor of America’s booziest holiday. Use Smirnoff as directed, or sub in a local Minnesota vodka brand like Prairie Organic Vodka or Crop Organic Vodka.

#Merica Mule
(serves 8)

1.5 cups Smirnoff vodka
3 cups ginger beer
Fresh lime

Star Spangled Punch
(serves 8)

1.5 cups Smirnoff Peach
3 cups white cranberry juice
¼ cup lemon juice
Fresh peaches

Freedom Punch
(serves 8)

1.5 cups Smirnoff Strawberry
3 cups cranberry juice
3 cups lemonade

As always, drink responsibly and have a designated sober driver. Happy Fourth of July!
