First Annual Slice of the Twin Cities Event October 30

There are certain things that naturally go together, even without trying: ice cream and cake, wine and cheese, Marley and reggae.

Our newest event—Slice of the Twin Cities—seems like another of these natural combos: hot pizza, cold beer, and live music all within the picturesque setting of a local apple orchard on a beautiful late October afternoon.

Slice of the Twin Cities is a family-friendly event from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30 at Minnetonka Orchards in Minnetrista. All tickets include admission into the orchard (a $7 value). For $25 ($30 at the door), those 21+ will also get seasonal beer by Lakes & Legends Brewing Co. (or wine, or N/A drinks) in addition to the opportunity to sample pizza from TRU Pizza Truck, Pizza Man of Crystal, Frankie’s Pizza of New Hope, Northern Fires Wood Fired Pizza, or Birch’s on the Lake Brewhouse and Supperclub. Representatives of Big Green Egg will be serving additional grilled items. A ticket for those 10 to 20 years old is $10; kids 10 and under are free.

In addition to pizza and drinks, there will be live music by Minneapolis Americana/alt-country musicians Sarah Morris + Vicky Emerson (The Home Fires), and hayrides, a corn maze, hay mountain, kids’ play area, and petting zoo.

This isn’t just a pizza party—it’s a pizza experience (and a pretty fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon).

Parking for Slice of the Twin Cities is available at 6480 County Road 26, Minnetrista, MN 55364.
