This year’s comprehensive list of best restaurants, breweries, local artists, and more doesn’t just spotlight 2016 favorites, but also looks ahead to the new year. One expected trend in the food industry is restaurants crossing the river, so to speak, with eateries such as Minneapolis’ fried chicken shop Revival popping up in both Twin Cities downtown areas. Other restaurants like Afro Deli and Pimento Jamaican Kitchen are adopting a fast casual take on global food. Rachel and John also discuss the rise of women wine pros, who only make up 15 percent of all master sommeliers, but are quickly becoming a powerful force in the industry.
