No need to add ketchup and mustard to this summer’s food craze: gourmet hot dogs. Muddy Waters tops one with cheddar, bacon, and a soft-cooked egg. If you’re not feeling a breakfast-themed dog, try the blood orange jerk sauce and arugula instead. Or head to Sonora Grill for their bacon-wrapped hot dog topped with turkey chorizo, sautéed onions, tomato, and cilantro aioli. Try Nighthawks’ shoestring-fry-topped dog if you’re looking for a wave of nostalgia, but one thing’s for sure—these aren’t your childhood hot dogs.
