Minnesotan cabin-goers love the Brainerd area for its lake-town vibe, but its variety of restaurants makes the area a home away from home for foodies and families alike. Head to Norway Ridge or The Barn for classic food with the classic up-north feel, or try Cru at Grand View Lodge if you’re looking for something a little more upscale. The German fare at the Brauhaus in Akeley is worth the further drive north. And don’t think Rachel and John forgot about drinks—craft breweries have made their way to Cabintown USA with Gull Dam in Nisswa, Jack Pine in Baxter, and the new Roundhouse Brewery in the Northern Pacific Center.
