Say Yes to the Shoes

Lately, one of my favorite local blogs has been Yes and Yes. Bloggess Sarah Von is full of such positive energy and wit. And she’s a world traveler, and she’s selling off some of her very stylish goodies to finance a trip this fall to India, Nepal, and “heaps of other places.”

You know when you see something, an article of clothing, a sofa, wallpaper, a vintage lamp—and your heart just sings, Broadway-style: YES! That must  be mine! That’s how I feel about the shoes she’s got for sale. Unfortunately, I’m like Cinderella’s ugly stepsisters—they’re not going to fit me. I love the short heel, the creamy toffee-pink, the gathers around the vamp of the foot. I’ve been silently crying over the fact that they’re too small. That’s how much I love them. (And yes, I’m aware that I’ve been in love with an awful lot of shoes lately.)

Here they are:

For $30 they’re yours. Never worn, and will go with everything, as evidenced by her chic style hints:

Wouldn’t they look cute with:

  • light wash jeans, a droopy silk shirt and a fitted blazer with the sleeves rolled up?
  • a sweet, batik print sundress and piles of bangles?
  • dark wash trouser jeans and creamy, cable-knit cardigan?

Yes, yes, and YES! Help a girl out and say yes to the shoes.
