Give It Away Now

Published:

Brian Horst, owner of Details Style Lab in St. Paul, is often doing good works for others in the community, because he knows that doing good means feeling good.

And so does looking good. After all, who doesn't feel a little more benevolent after getting a great 'do? "Especially in this difficult economy, all of us at Details believe in focusing our collective positive energy on addressing the immediate needs of those working hard to better our community and world," he says.

Sound intriguing? It's called "The Big Give," and you are eligible to participate if you are a new client—or a current client who books a new-to-you service. The salon will donate between $10 and $60 (!) to a featured non-profit (you get to choose from a list). June and July's organizations are The Autism Society of Minnesota, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities, Children's Home Society & Family Services, YouthLink, or YouthExpress.

Whether you focus spending your cash on companies with a conscience, or you just want to get gorgeous and feel good about it, call Details, and they'll take care of well, you know...

Details Style Lab, 346 St. Peter St., St. Paul, 651- 281-8700. Parking validated in the Lawson ramp, located on Fifth Street between St. Peter and Wabasha.
