We’ve got two new store openings to share: a recently-relocated shop housing items to keep your life in order, and an up-and-comer with pieces that will whip your closet into shape.

russell + hazel

It’s all about staying organized in style at russell + hazel, which recently moved its flagship store from the corner of 44th and France to a Galleria storefront. It’s the stationery and accessory spot’s only freestanding retail space, and the nook of a shop proves that good things come in small packages.

“It’s definitely a smaller space, but that’s a tradeoff for all of the foot traffic,” explains store manager Rachel Wood.

The shop welcomes visitors with a stencil over the entrance encouraging them to “add life to your work” and still features russell + hazel’s greatest hits, including patterned notebooks and binders displayed in such a cool fashion that you’ll want to run out and chic-up your cubicle immediately. Check out the brightly-hued Areaware piggy banks displayed over the front counter ($175-225) and russell + hazel’s own new leather Mini Clutches ($48), perfect for stashing supplies.

MINQ

A self-proclaimed “fashion playground,” coed contemporary boutique MINQ is opening for business in a new location… Sort of.

Shop owner Stacey Finnegan opened up MINQ’s West End location in St. Louis Park less than a year ago, and its popularity propelled her to expand to the 50th and France mecca in Edina. But the address isn’t a new one: Finnegan is right back where her retail career began, when she ran the Italian-inspired Il Vostro boutique, which she sold in 2010.

“I’m really excited about going back,” says Finnegan. “My old clients have been looking to find me and when the space that I originally built became open again, I wanted to snag it while I could.”

Finnegan will carry a carefully-curated selection of pieces in the Edina store similar to that  St. Louis Park, so fashionistas can get their MINQ fix there starting Friday, March 7.
