Spring 2015 Trends within Trends

It is beautiful outside, the birds are singing, and I am all set to write about this spring’s micro trends…you know, the trends within a trend. I have to admit, I feel facetious writing about fashion the day after Target’s big layoffs, which have directly and indirectly affected so many Minnesotan lives. Being that the company is known for hiring the cream of the crop, Target’s big loss will definitely be hundreds of other companies’ big gain. I can only imagine the possibilities with the quality of talent available now.

So what about those spring micro trends? Well, they’re pretty cute and fun, and maybe that’s something we could use a little bit of right now—something simple and good to look forward to.

3 Spring Micro Trends

Converse Chuck Taylor Sneakers with Zippers
I’ll start with shoes because taking that first step in a new direction feels great with a new pair of shoes. Comfortable Converse and Vans shoes are all the rage this spring, but this pair features a special addition that will make your Chucks even more awesome—get them with zippers!

Custom DIY Hair Color
DIY is always a trend these days, but how about a DIY home hair color that’s been custom blended for you? Yes! ESalon will give you a professional-grade coloring kit with a hue mixed just for you.

Cutout LBD
The little black dress is always a go-to piece, so it’s bound to show up on a few fashion pages every season. But for a little something special, the side cutouts at the waist of this ASOS dress are lovely as evenings get warmer.
