Just launched: Idun’s e-commerce site: St. Paul boutique Idun, which opened last year in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood, has a new e-commerce website that makes its entire collection available online. Known for its fashion-forward and minimalist aesthetic, the shop carries clothing and accessories, bags, jewelry, beauty products, and more from brands including Band of Outsiders and Hackwith Design House. Nov. 17: The Maker's Collection launches: The American Refugee Committee called on ten local makers to create a collection whose sales benefit Minnesota business as well as the ARC’s mission to create meaningful solutions to humanitarian crises. The custom-made collections includes an exclusive coffee blend and chocolate bar from Dunn Brothers and B.T. McElrath, an ornament from Kiki Koyote, holiday cards from Printerette Press, maple wood bowls from Wind & Willow Home, and much more. (shopmakers.org)

Nov. 18: Rendez-Vous No. 9: Marché de Fêtes Holiday Shopping Event: This annual event celebrates Minnesota artists and makers with a pop-up market of local goods featuring apparel, leather goods, jewelry, and accessories from brands such as Spring Finn & Co., Bodylish, Brown Ink, and Cardamom Collective as well as several local artists. Nov. 19: Spot Spa Uptown Open House: Known for its organic, ethically sourced and toxin-free products, Spot Spa has renovated their Uptown location. Newly expanded and accessible at street level, the new space will be on display at this open house event. Nov. 19-21: Holiday Emporium @ Habitation: The modern furnishing and design store will put the spotlight on local designers during this three-day event. On opening night, the Elizabethan Syngers will provide live entertainment while shoppers sample complimentary treats and hot toddies. Local artists will provide exclusive home gifts, which will be available in-store throughout the weekend. Nov. 19: Behind the Brands at MartinPatrick3: The people behind brands such as Eleventy, EFM, VKNagrani, and Trask will be in-store at MartinPatrick3 during the latest event in this exclusive series. Behind the Brands allows shoppers to learn where their clothes originate to put faces to names, making shopping a more personal experience. Nov. 19-22: Drifter and Brochu Walker cash & carry event at Grethen House: Both locations of this luxury women’s boutique welcome Drifter and Brochu Walker for a trunk show. The White Room sells pieces from up-and-coming designers, providing individualized tailoring and one-on-one services to give every bride her perfect wedding dress. Nov. 21: Tandem Made Shop Party: Tandem Made works collaboratively with local designers and makers to create modern and functional home products. Nov. 21: 12-hour Holiday Overstock Sale at Faribault Woolen Mill: This event is advertised as a Black Friday sale without the Black Friday madness. Nov. 21 & 22: Holiday Collect with MNJAG: Hosted by the Minnesota Jewelry Arts Guild, a nonprofit that works to promote local and handmade jewelry art, this sale features works from several Minnesota artists. Nov. 22: Minneapolis Craft Market: After last month’s kickoff, this craft market will be open every weekend through Dec. 20. This month’s venue is Sociable Cider Werks. The market features ceramics, clothing, fiber arts, jewelry, photography, woodwork, and more. Five percent of proceeds each month are donated to local nonprofit arts organizations, in addition to a “scholarship stall” that awards arts students with the opportunity to participate in the market at no cost. Nov. 22: Linden Hills Holiday Farmers’ Market Opens: The Holiday location of this Minneapolis farmers’ market, open through Dec. 20, features even more vendors than its summer market. Merchandise includes locally sourced food, crafts, and more, all from a lengthy list of diverse vendors. The market consciously supports and distributes goods from innovative, independent farms and entrepreneurs that are not available anywhere else.
