Wind and Willow Home Open House

Opening Thursday: Merriment: Owned by award-winning designer Sarah Olsen, this home furnishings and adornments store in Woodbury combines retail with design. Besides offering a plenitude of luxury furnishings and accessories, Merriment also has a full-service design studio and personalized interior design services to give your home some style. Thursday: Wind & Willow Home Studio Open House: Wind & Willow, which features simplistic, elegant handmade housewares, is officially opening a remodeled studio on 48th St., and they have invited everyone to join them for drinks, snacks, and an exploration of the new workspace. Beginning Thursday: InVision pop-up at D.NOLO: Some of the biggest names in eyewear design will be represented at this pop-up, including Thierry Lasry, SALT, Robert Marc, Face à Face, and Minneapolis’ own EyeBobs. Certified InVision opticians will staff the pop-up, helping you to choose fashionable eyewear from among dozens of trendy designs, just in time for the holidays. Friday: Maiden Minnesota: Founded in 2007 to raise awareness for the female-owned businesses that make Minneapolis a city centered around creativity and design, Maiden Minnesota presents this charitable shopping event to pay tribute to some of the state’s top women-driven businesses. The event will feature food and refreshments, as well as products and exclusive deals from more than 35 Minnesota “Maidens,” and it will help raise support for Project SUCCESS, an organization that helps students plan for their futures. Friday: American Swedish Institute Jul Shop opens: For “Allting för Julen” (everything for Christmas) look no further than the American Swedish Institute’s holiday Jul shop. These Nordic-inspired holiday items include plenty of tomtes (Swedish Christmas elves), Saturday candy (a delightful mixture of everything from specialty licorice to gingersnaps), and many more items to brighten the holiday season.
