Menswear Market Opening

We know we had the preview in last week’s “Shopping + Style,” but this week it’s time for the public opening. The south Minneapolis Powderhorn neigbor is getting the only luxury men’s consignment store in the region and one of the only in the country: Menswear Market. Owner Robert Sheie began the formerly online-only business after his fashion blog took off in 2011, and now he has opened his flagship store. Like the merchandise, the store aesthetic favors clean lines, and among its 1,400 square feet, you can find brands such as Armani, Callaway, Prada, and Vince among the suit jackets, shoes, dress shirts, pocket squares, and more. Wednesday @ Menswear Market, 3730 Chicago Ave., Suite C, Minneapolis, 612-910-1261.

Art in the Garden

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is always pretty, but once a year, it adds even more beautiful items with its Art in the Garden festival. Check out the artist village near the Margot Picnic Shelters and look at jewelry, fiber arts, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and more. While you peruse, enjoy music with the Prairie Ramblers Dixieland Band on Saturday and guitar/fiddle duo Mary DuShane and Nick Jordan. Rounding out the weekend are free massages, a community origami fold with Cranes of Hope (to complement the outdoor Origami sculpture exhibit), and a Kendama toy expert—it is surprisingly mesmerizing to watch and pretty addicting to learn. Friday 4 to 6 p.m. is an exclusive member preview; Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. @ Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska, 952-443-1400.

Maker Days at Linden Hills Farmers Market

With over 50 vendors selling local produce, handmade crafts, and original art, the Linden Hills Farmers Market, along with the Minneapolis Craft Market, presents a makers’ farmers market every Sunday until October. Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. @ Settergren of Linden Hills, 2813 43rd St. W., Minneapolis.
