Puustelli Showroom Open House: Leading Scandinavian kitchen design brand Puustelli has opened its first U.S. showroom in Minneapolis. The showroom will feature five complete kitchen vignettes, including two large demonstration kitchens, a floor-to- ceiling fireplace along with a mudroom/laundry room/home office, and bathroom vignettes. Throughout opening week, the showroom will be hosting daily events, including an open house on Wednesday, August 2 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. that will feature cooking demonstrations and a discussion about Scandinavian cuisine. Polo for Philanthropy presents Polo en Blanc: Enjoy dinner under the stars at this evening inspired by Dîner en Blanc, a pop-up, open-air dinner with guests dressed in white. This event gets a sporty twist against the backdrop of the Twin City Polo Club, home to the annual Twin City Polo Classic. A ticket includes live music, a white floral arrangement competition, a white hat competition, games of chance, and an exotic white car show. Uptown Art Fair: Billed as the largest art fair in the state, this annual fest attracts more than 350,000 people every year to the intersection of Hennepin Avenue South and West Lake Street. It features work by more than 360 artists and makers, including handcrafted leather handbag brand Strey Designs and United Goods, known for their Minneapolis-themed prints and notecards. Golden Pearl Vintage’s Back Alley Bazaar: The Golden Pearl Vintage is one of the tightest curated vintage shops in town. Once a year, the Northeast shop hosts its Back Alley Bazaar, a compilation of all the imperfect (yet still fun and stylish) items that don’t make the cut, held in the alley next to the shop. The sale also features a leather goods sample sale from Black Spoke Leather Co. and clothing and accessories from Tandem Vintage. The Polo Classic XXVIII: The 28th Annual Polo Classic is one of the summer's most stylish soirees. Guests dress in their polo best to view live women’s and men’s polo matches from the Twin City Polo Club on their grounds in Maple Plain.
