Aug 7-8: Little Mekong Night Market: This event, honoring Minnesota’s Southeast Asian community, takes over Western Avenue in St. Paul for two nights. Offering food, crafts, and merchandise from local vendors, as well as performances and artist-led activities, the free market allows patrons to learn about and interact with Minnesota’s Asian community and support local businesses as well. Style a Go Go fashion truck will make an appearance. (Little Mekong, 379 University Ave. W., St. Paul, facebook.com)

Aug 8: Askov Finlayson + Warby Parker showroom grand reopening: In celebration of expanding into a new location, men’s clothing brand Askov Finlayson is launching two new collaborative projects. Their new store will include a Warby Parker showroom, which will be the designer brand’s first retail presence in Minnesota. Askov Finlayson is also collaborating with Duluth-based brand Frost River on a collection of bags and accessories, with Sanborn Canoe on a hand-painted paddle, and with Best American Duffel on a collection of duffel bags. Aug 8: The White Room bridal boutique opens: The White Room stems from the untapped bridal market in the Twin Cities. Owners Anne McNulty and Carmen Duerr collaborate with hand-picked designers on making fashion-forward looks that make their mark in both the bridal and fashion worlds. White Room designers include Yolan Cris, Johanna Johnson, Houghton Bride, and more. (521 South Seventh Street #624, Minneapolis, facebook.com)

Aug 8: Outdoor Vintage Flea Market @ Time Bomb Vintage: For its last outdoor sale of the summer, Time Bomb Vintage is offering great deals on both vintage and antique items. Come choose from clothing, furniture, glassware, toys, and more. The sale lasts from 10 am to 4 pm outside their Minneapolis store. (4008 Minnehaha Ave., Minneapolis, facebook.com)

Aug 8: Urban Outfitters DD Market Place: This event allows emerging artists and makers to showcase their works inside Urban Outfitters stores nationwide. Prize winners among the hand-selected group will have their work shown on Urban Outfitter’s website as well. National attention from an event like this could lead to these aspiring artists’ big breaks, so help with this process by checking out their work. Local makers featured include NEAL Jewelry, Larissa Loden Jewelry, and more. (10 a.m.-4 p.m. 3006 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis, instagram.com/uominnesota)

Aug 8-9: Loring Park Art Festival: This outdoor event showcases the work of 140 visual artists, and features live entertainment and food vendors. Local brand redshoes26 will have a huge selection of its state icons prints, as well as t-shirts, phone cases, pot holders and more. Come take in the breathtaking scenery at this lakeside festival, which usually draws smaller crowds than the competing Uptown Art Fair. (Loring Park, Minneapolis, loringparkartfestival.com)

Aug 8 & 9: Powderhorn Art Fair: Co-sponsored by the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, this art fair donates its proceeds to fund various park programs. Featuring 184 artists and vendors on the shores of Powderhorn Lake, this festival—along with the Loring Park and Uptown incarnations—make this one of the biggest weekends for the arts in the Twin Cities. In addition to the art and food vendors, events at the fair include live music and art demonstrations, as well as opportunities for kids to make their own art. (3400 15th Ave S., Minneapolis, facebook.com)

Aug 9: Caffetto Craft Fair: This 8th-annual event, put on by Caffetto Coffee Shop, features 50 local artisans, as well as food vendors and live music. Caffetto’s in-store art gallery features a rotating lineup of artists, so this event is perfectly suited to the arts-focused shop. (708 W. 22nd St., Minneapolis, facebook.com)
