June 1: J. Crew Mercantile Opens at Shoppes at Knollwood: J. Crew Mercantile is the latest discount concept from the classic brand. Similar to its factory outlets, there will be large stocks of lower-priced designs made especially for its factory stores. The opening-night festivities include complimentary sips and snacks, and a percentage of the event sales will be donated to Animal Ark. June 2: The Clothing Collective: Style bloggers and local boutiques will donate clothing to work towards $50,000 in proceeds to stop sex trafficking around the world at this benefit event. June 2: Moroccan Travels and Textiles with Caracol Trading Co.: Imported arts and textiles store Khazana will host the first pop-up for Caracol Trading Company, an online retailer specializing in global collections of home goods and accessories. June 3-5: Edina Art Fair: 50th & France retailers are getting in on the Edina Art Fair action this weekend. Designer clothing boutique Grethen House is offering 30 percent off on spring styles and 70 to 90 percent off past season pieces. At baby and kid's store Pacifier, spend $100 or more on regular-priced merchandise and receive a $20 Pacifier gift card (Edina location only). Designer retailer Bumbershute is offering 30 percent off select spring styles through the weekend. Kisa Boutique is hosting a trunk show from Minneapolis-based brand Cardamom Collective, which sells internationally sourced, artisan-made textiles and home goods, and offering 20 percent off store-wide. Receive a free pair of sunglasses with a purchase of $25 or more at Scout & Molly's. Take 20 percent off all products at the Hair District salon (June 3 & 4 only). Equation hosts a Live and Love MN trunk show featuring the brand's full collection of art prints, mugs, t-shirts, and hats. Take 15 percent off store-wide at women's contemporary boutique Parc. Take 20 percent off all Twine & Twig Jewelry at Burlap & Brass throughout the weekend. June 4: Arden Trading Co. Launch Party: Minneapolis-based brand Arden Trading Company is officially launching its e-commerce site with brews, food trucks, and a lot of new inventory. June 4: Mill City Farmers Market: New vendors and returning makers will line up along the Mississippi by the Guthrie every weekend until October. Get outside and appreciate local creations all summer long. This weekend is also Urban Farming Day at the market, where city dwellers can view exhibits and learn how to grow food and plants in urban spaces. June 4: Scarborough Fair Boutique Reopens: Scarborough Fair opened fall of 2013 and has since become a favorite for romantic, flowy, ethically produced clothing. The store has moved from the west end of St. Paul to Milton Square, and is hosting its soft opening this weekend. Check out the new building and shop the well-made clothing. June 4: HAMMS Event 2016: Every year, small businesses unite to organize this market event. The local focus brings together community breweries, food trucks, makers, brands, and four-legged pals (the event is dog-friendly). A small admission fee makes the entire shop a crowd-funded effort. June 4-5: Christopher Straub Sample Sale + Pop-up Shop: Christopher Straub, a contestant on Project Runway in 2009, has been a fan favorite since his debut. He will be selling past season clothing and accessories—including many runway samples and one-of-a-kind pieces—in St. Paul during Grand Old Days, with prices starting at as little as $5.
