Now through Sept. 20: Danish Teak Classics Dining Sale: During this two-week event, receive discounts on all dining furniture and pendant lights both in-store and online at Danish Teak Classics. The Minneapolis-based furniture store gets all of its merchandise directly from Denmark, where they restore the mid-20th Century pieces to like-new condition for sale in the U.S. In addition to authentic Scandinavian furnishings, the store offers restoration and interior design services. Sept 15: Peter Hendee Brown Book Signing & Presentation at AlwaysMod: Local author Peter Hendee Brown’s new book, How Real Estate Developers Think: Design, Profits, and Community, looks at the public perception of real estate developers as opportunist or greedy and hopes to change the conversation. His presentation will cover his book as well as his knowledge of design and architecture accrued from 30 years of experience in the field. Enjoy some complimentary refreshments at the event as well. Sept 16: Makers Alongside Hackwith: knit hats by Camellia Fiber Co. launch: Hackwith Design House’s series serves as a collaboration between the online shop and various artists and makers to present one-of-a-kind goods. This month’s collaboration with Camellia Fiber Co. has resulted in a hand-dyed knit hat, which will be sold exclusively on HDH’s online shop. The design house only makes a limited amount of every piece they sell, so act fast if you want one! (hackwithdesignhouse.com)

Sept 16: ASI Museum Store Trunk Show: Troentorp & Maguba Clogs: The American Swedish Institute welcomes two Swedish clog brands at this showcase event. While Troentorp creates more classic designs, Maguba uses its environmentally friendly approach and modern look to subvert the typical clog aesthetic. ASI members will receive 10% their purchase of any Troentorp clog at the event, which is from 4-8 p.m. at the museum. (2600 Park Ave., Minneapolis, asimn.org)

Sept 17-19: Thymes Warehouse Sale: The bath, body, and home fragrance brand will be offering a ton of deals at its Edina warehouse sale. Come shop body washes, lotions, soaps, candles, home fragrance mists, and more, with fragrances ranging from floral and fresh to woody and earthy. Opening Sept 17: Sundance at Galleria Edina: Founded by Robert Redford in 1989, this fashion and home décor brand finds its influences in the American West and is known for using environmentally friendly materials such as reclaimed wood in its stores. This will only be the brand’s 4th brick-and-mortar location, with a 5th opening later this year in Dallas, Texas. Some of the proceeds from the opening weekend will go toward supporting Urban Arts Academy in Minneapolis, so that’s even more incentive to go early. (3510 Galleria, Edina, galleriaedina.com)

Sept 18: Urban Violet Grand Opening: The second location for this Stillwater store is opening in Northeast Minneapolis’ hip retail area, which also includes the like-minded gh2, Parc, Mona Williams, and more. Urban Violet’s women’s apparel focuses on textures and layering, featuring knit sweaters, vests, and lacy tops. The grand opening event, from 5-8 p.m., will include giveaways, gifts with purchase, and complimentary treats in-store. Sept 18: Hardt Jewelry + Moth Oddities present: Fashion Forward: In celebration of Minnesota Fashion Week, Hardt Jewelry is collaborating with online shop Moth Oddities fashion and fundraising event at Hardt’s showroom. Featuring exclusive collections from both stores, the event serves as an opportunity for local creative and fashion lovers to connect. The event will also accept clothing donations for the youth-oriented nonprofit Link, and a portion of its proceeds will support Reclaim, an organization that supports LGBTQ youth. Sept 20: WINSOME and Workerby present: The Shoot at Public Functionary: If you’ve ever wondered what a photo shoot looks like behind the scenes, now is your chance to find out. The Shoot invites the public into the Workerby studio with the opportunity to meet some local designers, observe their creative process, and see their clothes up close. Sept 20: I AM Inspired. at Le Meridien Chambers: This exclusive event merges the worlds of art and fashion, with works from mixed media artist Justin James Sehorn and looks from Arrow, Bumbershute, D.NOLO, and more serving as the focal point. In addition to complimentary appetizers, all in attendance will receive a “swag bag” and take in live harp music from James Buxton. Ticket prices range from $50 to $80.
