Halloween is less than 10 days away, and though we may have outgrown some of our favorite traditions, that does not mean we have outgrown the holiday. Seasonal Halloween treats await us right in our own neck of the woods. Take up a new form of trick-or-treating by paying these destinations a visit.

Sugar Sugar Candy

Three varieties of beloved candy corn, caramel apples and ghost Peeps set the stage for Halloween. If your sweet tooth is feeling creepy, have at the gummi brains, teeth, frogs and spiders. Other popular treats at this shop are their malt balls, which arrive in boxes covered with skulls and spiders.

Where to go: 3803 Grand Ave. S., Minneapolis

Abdallah Candies

Abdallah Candies has classics year-round that taste extra tasty this time of year, such as their caramel apple made with real cream, and their sea salt caramels, which come in a fall-decorated box. Keep browsing their shop for some boo beans and caramel bites.

Where to go: 3501 County Road 42 W., Burnsville

B.T. McElrath Chocolatier

Their classic chocolate bites, with titles such as “Prairie Dog” and “Salty Dog” are perfectly fitting this time of year. However, if you’re truly looking to get into the holiday spirit, opt for their malted milk pave or seared orange ganache.

Where to go: 2010 E. Hennepin Ave. #78, Minneapolis

What separates the adults from the kids are that Flat Earth's beverages become spooky, too. Mummy Train, a pumpkin ale, is inspired by mummy-powered locomotives, which were once a frequent sight in Egypt. This brew passes through once a year during this season, so you should catch the train before you miss it.

Where to go: 688 Minnehaha Ave. E., St. Paul, or at these locations.
