Recipe: Mango Fusion Cocktails

Published:

I’m all for fruity drinks. And while the crafty creations bartenders whip up with muddled herbs and a host of ingredients are certainly appreciated when I’m out, when it comes to mixing it up at home, often a simple and easy—yet tasty—drink is the ticket.

I had the opportunity to sample the new flavored rum from Bacardi, Mango Fusion, which is a fusion of mango and orange rums. I whipped up their signature cocktail, the Mango Fused, which is one part Mango Fusion to three parts orange juice, and discovered a new tasty drink. My husband liked it, too, though appreciates a little more “resistance” as he calls it, so some may prefer to adjust the ratio to taste; I liked the 1:3. Another time I went wild and mixed it with some orange-peach-mango juice and it was also quite tasty. And, both creations paired nicely with buttered popcorn! (Plus, with an orange juice mixer, it serves up a dose of vitamin C!)

It was just released in April so if it’s not at your favorite store yet, you’ll want to keep an eye out for it, as it should be good for chilling out on the deck this summer. In addition to the Mango Fused, here are a few more recipe ideas to try. Cheers!
