We already knew that this year’s Basilica Block Party bands have great taste in music, but what we weren’t prepared for was their top-notch restaurant recommendations. The Twin Cities boasts one of the most up-and-coming food scenes in America (just ask USA Today and Saveur magazine), and bands like American Authors, Holidae, and Step Rockets are taking full advantage.

Minneapolis-St. Paul darlings Quang Restaurant and Brasa Rotisserie topped the list for several bands including Farewell Milwaukee and Gospel Machine, while restaurant newcomers Revival and The Draft Horse made a well-deserved appearance too. Before heading to this year’s festivities July 8 & 9 at the Basilica of Saint Mary, grab a bite to eat at one of these local joints—maybe you’ll run into part of the block party lineup while you’re at it
