19th Annual Minnesota Children's Book Festival

Description

Free and open to the public, the Minnesota Children's Book Festival features readings by authors, demonstrations and power point presentations by illustrators, book sales and signings, a unique exhibition of book illustrations, and the rare opportunity for children to meet one-on-one with acclaimed authors and illustrators. This year’s event will also include a puppet show, face painting, storytelling at the top of the Anderson Center landmark water tower, and many other activities geared for children and families alike.

This year’s festival highlights award-winning authors and
illustrators Derek Anderson, Aimeé Bissonette, Drew Brockington, Michael Hall, Duchess Harris, Pete Hautman, Nicole Helget, Katharine Johnson, Joseph Kuefler, Sheila O’Connor, Alicia Schwab, Stephen Shaskan, Trisha Speed Shaskan, Lauren Stringer,
and Elizabeth Verdick.

This event is co-presented by the Anderson Center, Mackin Educational Resources, and the Red Wing Public Library
