Description

The University of Minnesota Libraries to open a major two venue exhibition entitled Eye, Hand, Gesture: Forming with Black Label Movement at its Wilson Library (January 9 – March 9, 2018) and the lobby of the Ritz Theater illuminating BLM’s extensive history of dynamic and unusual collaborations (January 12 – 21, 2017). Through the photography of Bill Cameron, the artwork of Lara Hanson and Anne Swan, and video of BLM’s dance works and TED Talks, University of Minnesota Performing Arts Librarian Deborah Ultan curates a multi-media exhibition revealing how the engine of numerous collaborative relationships drives the unique movement generation and creative research and process of BLM and its founder Carl Flink.
