PACER Center will offer a free screening of Including Samuel, a film produced by photojournalist Dan Habib, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 in the Hughes Room of the Mankato City Center Hotel, 101 East Main St, Mankato.
This one-hour screening and Q&A with PACER advocates dive deeply into the roles of schools, families, and community groups in educational inclusion. Filmed over four years, Including Samuel follows the filmmaker’s son, born with cerebral palsy, and the Habib family’s efforts to include him in every facet of their lives.
Including Samuel has been featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Good Morning America, and in the Washington Post. It was awarded the Positive Images in Media Award by TASH, an international organization committed to advancing the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities.
