Adapted from Richard Wagamese’s celebrated novel of the same name, Indian Horse is a poignant drama that centers on the life of one man’s fight to preserve his history and his freedom while also shedding light on the dark history of Canada’s residential schools and the indomitable spirit of Indigenous people. Indian Horse, the novel, will be published by Milkweed Editions in April. The screening will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with Milkweed Publisher & CEO Daniel Slager and filmmakers Missy Whiteman and Leena Minifie.
