New book on guns in America/Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz in Minneapolis Sept 27

The public is invited to a lecture by Dr. Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, emeritus professor of history, lifelong human rights activist and celebrated author of An Indigenous People's History of the United States, Beacon Pr, 2015. Dr. Dunbar-Ortiz is touring currently to discuss her latest book, Loaded: A Disarming History of the Second Amendment, City Lights books, 2018.

Please arrive at 5:30 to enjoy a light supper from the Sioux Chef. Dr. Dunbar-Ortiz will sign books before and after her lecture, which begins at 7pm.

The event is presented by First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis, Northland Sustainable Solutions, The Metro Chapter of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and Birchbark books. Funds to support Dr. Dunbar-Ortiz's lecture were generously made available by a grant from the Elizabeth A. Ewen's John E. Forichette memorial trust.
