Soviet Slayer Saturday @ Back Channel Brewing Co.

Date/Time

Nov 24, 2018
12:00 PM until 11:00 PM

Description

Spring Park, MN – Back Channel Brewing Collective will host its second-annual Soviet Slayer Saturday bash on November 24, which also happens to be Small Business Saturday. The event celebrates the anniversary of their Grand Opening, and will feature a limited bottle release of Soviet Slayer Imperial Stout at Back Channel’s taproom, 4787 Shoreline Drive in Spring Park. Last year over 2,000 people came to enjoy the event and the brewery expects a similar turnout this year.

The event kicks off at noon with the release of Soviet Slayer, an Imperial Stout weighing in at 10% ABV and named in honor of a legendary Minnesota hockey figure. 333 bottles will be available on a first come-first serve basis, limit 2 per person. Doors open to the public at noon for a variety of food, music, giveaways and a well-rounded tap list with 16 different beers.

Event details include:

  • Second annual Back Channel Brewing Co bottle release
  • Heated 2,800 sq. ft. tent on the north side of the building with a beer serving station and merchandise shop
  • Live music by The Dap Squad, a 10-piece band from 5-9pm
  • Food from two of their favorite food trucks, Med Box Grill and Russell’s Traveling Kitchen
  • Outdoor games
  • Free Giveaways
  • Parking is available throughout the entire Marina Center parking lot

In addition to the 16 beers on tap, Back Channel also offers cold press coffee on nitro, two flavors of craft brewed kombucha, and Minnesota-made craft soda by the bottle.

Melissa Leddy, Co-Owner, is planning the party. “This event highlights everything we represent—a celebration of high-quality craft beer and community. It’s our own version of Small Business Saturday and a way to thank all of our patrons for an amazing first year.”
