The Nashville hit-maker celebrates a new album and new home in Minnesota

The first time Michael Johnson, a Colorado native, moved to Minnesota was more than 40 years ago. Now he’s back, having been lured by a new contract with Red House Records, which recently put out his first album in years: Moonlit Déjà Vu.

One of Johnson’s first big breaks came with the Chad Mitchell, Trio, which replaced its members with Johnson, David Boise, and John Denver until they changed the name to Denver, Boise, and Johnson. Here, they perform Both Sides Now:
