Alison Scott Holiday Concert

Date/Time

Dec 18, 2012
07:00 PM until 09:00 PM

Description

Alison Scott is the strongest new voice to come out of the Minneapolis music scene in many years; her soulful, organic sound has built a large and loyal following throughout the Midwest. Alison will perform her hits as well as holiday songs.

Scott’s newest release, “Chinese Whispers," has just been picked up for national distribution and was named one of the year's 10 best by the St. Paul Pioneer Press. After signing with a national agency, the band has started touring in earnest.  Members include Kevin Bowe (guitar), Peter Anderson (drums), Steve Price (bass), and James Tyler O’Neill (keyboards.)

This concert is something of a homecoming for O’Neill, who grew up in Hopkins. O’Neill attended MacPhail Center for Music thoughout his childhood and studied piano with local jazz greats Jimmy Hamilton and Bobby Peterson.

A pre-concert social hour with free appetizers and a cash bar starts at 6 p.m., with the concert at 7 p.m.
