Description

Diane Miller, Hamline Law Alumna '90 and Legal and Public Policy Director of the National Health Freedom Coalition, will present Complementary and Alternative Natural Healing Arts: Legal Challenges for Practitioners and Consumers.

Complementary and Alternative Healing Arts are utilized by almost 40% of all Americans. Yet the legal landscape presents many challenges to lawyers, practitioners, and consumers regarding the practices and the products and devices used within these practices.

This program will describe the overall landscape of consumer access to holistic health and its legal challenges. It will specifically address questions regarding: scopes of practice, shared scopes, exemptions to professional licensing requirements, and how 146A and other Minnesota laws impact natural health practices.
