Horse-drawn Carriage Rides on the Centennial Lakes Promenade

Date/Time

Sep 3, 2014 to Oct 8, 2014
05:30 PM until 08:30 PM

This event occurs weekly, on Wednesday.

Description

Erik’s Retreat opened its doors in Edina in February to provide independent living and meaningful work opportunities for young adults with autism. Currently, adults who live and work at the retreat also work at Erik’s Equestrian Center in Belle Plaine, where they offer riding camps and lessons for all ages. A desire to know their Edina neighbors sparked an idea to offer carriage tours of the Edina Promenade. The tours will showcase the members’ horsemanship and tour-guide talents, while introducing themselves and Buttercup, their Belgian draft horse, to their new neighbors. Think Mutual Bank stepped up to sponsor the endeavor and now the Erik’s Ranch & Retreats tour guides are ready to provide free, fun, and informative tours to all who are interested.
