New Orleans is long recognized as the birthplace of jazz. The JazzMN Orchestra will take a trip down the Mississippi to “The Big Easy,” exploring the evolution of our unique American art form. The accomplished ensemble of JazzMN musicians will showcase this special genre of music with everything from blues to traditional jazz, tracing the many classics and jazz styles that can only be found in New Orleans.

The JazzMN Orchestra includes many of the Twin Cities' finest jazz musicians. Members have performed with some of the world's most famous big bands, including Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Artie Shaw, and Woody Herman.
