Description

Join Friends of the Mississippi River for the 10th Annual Mississippi River Challenge! Paddle 44 miles of urban waterways on a fully supported, guided tour of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers! The Mississippi River Challenge gives canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard paddlers of all levels a chance to paddle in good company for a great cause. Spot an eagle, paddle past wilderness and urban skylines, and experience history while camping in Historic Fort Snelling, where the two rivers meet.

The Mississippi River Challenge is the signature event for Friends of the Mississippi River with the dual purpose of getting people connected to our local waterways and raising money to support important river conservation work.

Join FMR on this fun adventure to support its mission to engage community members to protect, restore, and enhance the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities region.

Register to paddle, pledge to support a paddler or team, or make a donation to support Friends of the Mississippi River’s work!
