Nov 24, 2013
04:00 PM until 06:00 PM

For the first concert of the Oratorio Society of Minnesota’s 34th season, renowned mezzo-soprano ADRIANA ZABALA will perform the title role of Anne Frank in the regional premiere of Annelies, a full-length choral work based on the Diary of Anne Frank by British composer JAMES WHITBOURN featuring a libretto compiled from the diary by Melanie Challenger.  This project was made possible in part with the support of Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council, and initiative of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation. All concerts feature the 80-voice Oratorio Society Chorus and are conducted by Artistic Director Matthew Mehaffey.

The Oratorio Society of Minnesota is an auditioned 80-voice choral ensemble based in the Twin Cities. Celebrating its 34th year, OSM challenges and delights its audiences through dynamic and diverse choral music performed with skill and passion. Society members are of all ages and from all walks of life and have considerable choral singing experience. Its civic engagement and educational programs foster lifelong choral singing.

$20 for adults; $10 for students.
