Accept the Challenge to End Multiple Sclerosis Forever

This September will be the 15th anniversary of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Challenge Walk MS: Twin Cities—a three-day, 50-mile walk or two-day, 30-mile walk all to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of those affected by MS.

My name is Michele Conlon, and I am hoping you accept the challenge to join me in this weekend experience.

After my husband Scott was diagnosed with MS, I accepted the challenge. We worked hard to fundraise and were humbled by the generosity of family and friends. After 50 long miles, I experienced sore, tired muscles and feet. But I knew if the tables were turned, Scott and others living with MS would be out there walking for me in a heartbeat.

As I crossed the finish line, I didn’t think about the pain. Never in my life had I felt so strong, so powerful, so hopeful, or so brave. Challenge Walk MS is more than a test of physical and mental strength. It’s an experience that changed me.

Though I thoroughly enjoy the event, the passion it ignites within me, and the connections that have come from it, I want the 15th anniversary to be the last major milestone for Challenge Walk MS. I want to end this disease, and I want you to do it with me.

Challenge Walk MS means hope for my family and so many others. Let’s band together and make sure MS doesn’t stick around for another 10 years. Let’s lace up our shoes for the people we love living with the disease.

I hope to see you this September!

Sincerely,

Michele Conlon
