A New Look for Women’s Day

What: International Women’s Day Pop-Up Weekend

Where: My Sister, 1616 W. Lake St., Minneapolis
My Sister, the clothing store for women, celebrates International Women’s Day by launching a new collection, opening its retail shop for a three-day weekend shopping spree. The clothing line became known for its T-shirts against sex trafficking earlier this year. Proceeds benefit non-profit women’s organizations. Learn more.

Jack Black Meets Andrew Lloyd Webber

Where: Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis
The Andrew Lloyd Webber-adapted stage version of the 2003 film comes to Minneapolis. You might not think to combine Webber’s epic, Phantom of the Opera-penning skills with Jack Black’s arch, frenetic energy, and yet the Broadway show has racked up critical plaudits. Pre-St. Patrick’s Day Party

What: Kickin’ It Irish Matinee
When: 3-5 p.m.
Where: Celtic Junction Arts Center, 836 Prior Ave. N., St. Paul
Get a jump on St. Patrick’s Day: This show of Irish dance and live music features Dublin native and original Riverdancer Cormac O’Sé among 20 top-tier local and national dancers, plus an international six-piece band. Tattoos and Fine Arts

What: Local Inspiration Art Exposition
