Description:

Forests of northern Minnesota have impacted the lives of their inhabitants for many centuries. From relying on trees to provide sustenance, to cutting them to provide the timber that helped build a growing America, to today's recreational escape from our urbanized society, our use of forests has greatly altered over the years. The Minnesota Historical Society tells the story of this changing relationship through exhibits, films, and tours.
