Guided tours of three limestone buildings in one of Minnesota's oldest Euro-American settlements. Children and families can meet a friendly fur trade voyageur and pretend to be one for the day. Use a quill pen to sign a contract with the American Fur Company or try on a traditional costume consisting of a shirt, sash and toque. Test skills of balance and strength needed to be successful in the transport of valuable furs across the Minnesota frontier. Then reward your hard work with a tour of Henry Sibley's trading post, which was home to dozens of French-Canadian voyageurs in the 19th century. Admission: $7 adults, $6 seniors and college students, $5 children (5-17), ages 4 and younger and Minnesota Historical Society members free.
