Prince in trouble. But check out these "new" vids from 1984!

Failing to show up at gigs has been a music super-star tradition from George (No Show) Jones to Amy Winehouse. And in the old days, fans simply got their money back and the stars added another footnote to their legend. Now, as Prince is learning, they can also get a date in court.

The Purple One has been sued for skipping a 2008 show in Dublin without much explanation, displaying what the Irish promoter of the gig is now calling "disrespectful behavior."

We'd love to see him defend himself in court—with an impromptu gig, not unlike the legendary Paisley Park performances he still gives from time to time. Or like these—rehearsals from the "Purple Rain" era caught on tape by an anonymous (and very lucky) fan and recently uploaded to YouTube. Enjoy.
