Holiday Color for ’08: Green
This Saturday is the much-anticipated (as least from my perspective), Green Gifts Fair at Minneapolis’ Midtown Global Market. Show up between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and you’ll be treated to 40-plus retailers and artisans jam-packed with fun gift ideas, including Linden Hills Natural Home. They’ll be selling colorful wool and cotton “Minnesota Mittens,” made locally at the Winona Occupational Rehabilitation Center, a workshop for people with disabilities. Wanna make it a weekend long celebration? Linden Hills Natural Home and Co-op is hosting a decadent Holiday Food and Wine Tasting this Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There will be sustainable and organic wines, gourmet cheeses, and wild smoked salmon, plus a how-to talk and book signing by local foodie extraordinaire and cookbook author Robin Asbell.
