Fashion Week Favorites

It's still early in the week at Bryant Park, but from what I've seen (from my couch, not the front row) we are in for a richly-hued, 1940s-glam sort of fall: pea coats, pencil skirts, and other lady-like classics. Here, a few of my favorite looks.

Abaete tends to be dark and stormy (think blues, blacks, and grays), but always throws in a sweet ruffle or girlish twist. How much do I want to wear this cropped military jacket and sheath dress about town on a chilly day?

Nobody does neutrals like Max Azaria. And nothing about this camel sweater dress is boring. I love the leather sash-as-belt. What a chic look for day or dinner out.

And finally, the fabulous Kimora. I admit to paying more attention to her reality show than her designs, but this collection knocked my socks off. It's subtly sexy, and now I know I'm not the only one who loves yellow chartreuse.
