Spring hath Sprung

After wearing my -40 degree down puffer and Uggs for three days straight, I am working on warm-weather visualizing techniques. I thought of my friend, Laura, sipping champagne cocktails at 65-and-sunny Pebble Beach. I thought of how juicy my sheer raspberry lip gloss is going to look with something other than a black cashmere turtleneck (and long underwear top). I wondered how much better a sundae from Sebastian Joe's would taste if I were eating it on the patio in August.

It seems the spring 2008 Bill Blass NewYork trunk show has arrived in the nick of time. In typical Bill fashion, the collection is refined and classic. Most of the nods to spring themes, like nautical and safari, are more subtle and somewhat country club. But I am impressed with this dove gray bubble dress, which is less, um, mature, than what I'm used to seeing from the line.
