Il Vostro to Close

I'm sad to report that after 2 1/2 years, Il Vostro Boutique will be shuttering its doors on August 14. Owner Stacey Finnegan, who is just the nicest, most enthusiastic shopkeeper you could ever meet, says the closure is due to "greater economic forces that are out of our control." It's an all-to-common tale in the retail world, but that doesn't make it any easier.

I will certainly miss the romantic, Italian clothing shop, which was a unique addition to 50th and France. If you're in the neighborhood, pop in for a final look at Finnegan's under-the-radar jewelry and handbag selection—she has impeccable taste, and my guess is that some of these pieces will be marked down as the closing draws near.

A liquidation sale is already underway, with everything marked 30–80 percent off. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in store:

  • $100 for all Jenny Han, Tracy Reese, and Hale Bob
  • $50 for all Custo, Sonia Fortuna, and Hazel
  • $30 for all Sweet Pea, BB Dakota, and Be.ology
