It's a Fashion ExtraVaaKhanga
Ever since Liberia-born Korto rolled out her jaw-dropping, jewel-toned creations on Project Runway season five, I've had a deeper appreciation for far-flung influences on fashion. Never again will I underestimate the wearability of contemporary ethnic designs. On Friday, July 3, MNFashion is teaming up with Funkhouse Entertaining to present ExtraVaaKhanga, an African-inspired fashion show featuring global and local designers. Expect everything from urban-wear to couture, set to live music. Like Korto's designs, these are clothes you'll want to wear.
