To the gasps of fashionistas around the world, Valentino announced his retirement from the glamourous world of haute couture. After 45 years of designing for leading ladies like Audrey Hepburn and Julia Roberts (who can forget this dress?), it was time. But not before allowing Matt Tyrnauer, a special correspondent for Vanity Fair, to capture his over-the-top life in the much-anticipated film Valentino: The Last Emperor.
I'm looking forward to being a fly on the wall when the movie opens this Friday. If the hushed word on the street is true, there will be loads of drama thanks to V's camera-shy nature. I'm personally hoping we learn where he gets that perpetual tan.
