The Loudest Library of Them All
Let’s play rapid fire. I’ll put a word out there, and you see what adjective first pops into your head. Ready? Library. What did you come up with? Quiet? Serious? Boring?
Well, tomorrow night the James J. Hill Reference Library will be bucking those stereotypes and replacing those descriptions with boisterous, upbeat, and exciting. That’s because “Loud at the Library” is back, thanks to The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library, who's bringing another season of trivia, live music, Summit beer, and snacks into a space usually seen as nothing more than a study haven.
For just $15 (proceeds support the Saint Paul Public Library), you’ll get to flaunt your smarts at 7:15 p.m. as Jeff Kamin, of Books and Bars, hosts a pre-concert trivia round; treat yourself to a Summit or two at the cash bar (get one free with your library card!); then rock out with Chris Koza and his folk band, Rogue Valley.
Leave your reading glasses in the car—tomorrow night’s about the beats, not the books.
