Last Minute Beauty Gifts

I know the days are shorter this time of year, but could it be possible that there are less minutes as well? Maybe it’s just because along with all that has to be done, there are so many more things we want to do. I feel especially overwhelmed, because in the last 2 1/2 weeks I closed on a house, refurbished it, moved in, AND had a week-long shoot on location out of town!

And…I haven’t done a bit of shopping. I desperately need to get a few gifts. I needed some ideas, so I asked the crew I was working with what some of the favorite beauty gifts they have received have been.

Lush’s Little Green Bag
Perfect for the “green” person in your life. It’s a collection of handmade, totally naked products with beautiful ingredients. It contains:

  • Sexy Peel soap, made from organic orange juice and zesty lime oil, plus real citrus peel for a bit of exfoliation while you cleanse.
  • Squeaky Green Herbal Shampoo Bar: shampoo created with rosemary, nettle, and peppermint to keep hair and scalp in top condition.
  • Sugar Scrub: great for cellulite and unwanted bumps, but kind to your skin. Formulated with fennel, ginger, and lavender. Yum!
  • Each Peach Massage Bar. This is one of my favorite products. It is a solid moisturizing bar made with avocado and mango kernel butters, mixed with cocoa and shea butter to create an extra nutritious, skin softening treat!

Best part: Get all this for $26 (I think I’ll get one for me, too).

Hugo Bath Bombs
These were suggested by a couple of people and at $5 each, you can put together a small or large gift basket of 100-percent natural Fizzy Bath Bombs infused with sweet almond oil and Vitamin E. Pure indulgence. Available at Whole Foods!

Eos Lip Balm
This SPF 15 lip balm is naturally flavored and PABA free. It comes in the cutest container and tasty flavors. Eos Cucumber Hand Lotion looks as good as it feels on the skin, too. It is infused with moisturizing shea butter, oat extract, and antioxidants, so it will leave the skin radiantly healthy.

Caribou Coffee Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Corn
Okay, I know this isn’t a beauty product, but it will put a smile on the recipient’s face. $7 at Caribou Coffee.

I will be shopping at the Mall of America this Saturday, and will be posting more gift ideas ideas on Twitter @FatimaOlive. Let me know if you come up with one I could use! Happy Holidays!
